Come celebrate the stories of Downeast Women and their aspirations and accomplishments this Friday, October 7th from 6-8 pm at the Women’s Health Resource Library in Milbridge. Over the last month, twenty area women met and shared stories of their lives and that of three courageous women who aspired to equality in their quest for the presidency – Victoria Woodhull, Margaret Chase Smith and Shirley Chisholm. On Friday, the group will share reflections of their lives Downeast as well as artwork created during the discussion series.
